Goal

 This Note outlines how it is possible to dump the simple names of an Oracle VM Manager database before any kind of operations is performed against the Manager's database, e.g. a database restore or a major change in configuration.

This note applies to Oracle VM 3.3 - Oracle VM 3.2 requires a different ovm_shell script to complete, which is described in Note 2127479.1
