The ps Command Shows Numeric ID Instead Of Username

Information in this document applies to any platform.
In a normal scenario the ps command with -ef option will show usernames in its first field if the length of username is less than display column width, otherwise it will show numeric ids.
The following outputs show an example of the user id column showing numeric ids instead of usernames.
