Exalytics Bare Metal Server will not Boot After Re-image to Release 2.0.0.0 - "Boot Failure - dracut Warning: Boot has failed ... Kernel panic - not syncing..." (Doc ID 2300784.1)

Symptoms

Upgraded Exalytics X3-4 server from Exalytics Patchset (PS)4 to R2.0.0.0 via re-image.  After reboot, the system is displaying the following message and does not boot:

 

Changes

Re-image of Exalytics server from PS4 and Linux 5, to Release 2.0.0.0 and Linux 6.6, by following steps in Section 4 of Fusion Middleware Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine Installation and Administration Guide for Linux.

In the upgrade document, it recommends setting "SELINUX=disabled" in the /etc/selinux/config file.
