[PCA 2.x] Provision Compute Node Fails with "stderr: mount.ocfs2: Transport endpoint is not connected while mounting /dev/mapper/<UUID> on /poolfsmnt/<UUID>" (Doc ID 2316872.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, when attempting to re-provision a compute node, it fails with the following kind of error recorded in the /var/log/ovca.log :

Server error: org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: <type 'exceptions.RuntimeError'>:Command: ['mount', '/dev/mapper/<UUID>', '/poolfsmnt/<UUID>'] failed (1): stderr: mount.ocfs2: Transport endpoint is not connected while mounting /dev/mapper/<UUID> on /poolfsmnt/<UUID>. Check 'dmesg' for more information on this error.

 

When opening the Oracle VM Manager Graphical User Interface, and editing the server pool, the Time Out for Cluster is set to 120.
