Oracle Linux 7.5 : Process Systemd-udev Consuming high CPU (Doc ID 2414691.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to Oracle Linux 7.5, the top command ouptut shows lot of systemd-udev processes consuming high CPU.

#udevadm monitor, output shows change events for many sd devices, and remove/add events for partitions on those devices.

The output may have similar keywords like change/add/remove as below :
