[PCA 2.x] How to Correct Pool Filesystem Simple Name When [OVMM Model DB Check] Fails (Doc ID 2481922.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 24, 2023

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.1.1 and later
Linux x86-64

Goal

During PCA pre-upgrade check per km 2242177.1, it is reported that:

[12/06/2018 02:20:55 2068362] ERROR (upgrade_utils:1062) [OVMM Model DB Check] FAILED: The check failed on the following management nodes: ['ovcamn05r1'].

Default pool file system name should be: Pool filesystem for Rack1_ServerPool, but it is not in your Rack1_ServerPool's pool file system list: ['Server Pool File System']

Restored the simple names by km 2224820.1 but still same issue.

In PCA 2.3.1 and later version, you can try edit the simple name through OVM Manager GUI -> Storage -> Shared File Systems -> Edit.

Note: Make sure to select the correct lun to rename, please contact Oracle Support team if any question.

But in PCA 2.2.x and eariler version, there is no Edit available for "Shared File Systems" in the OVMM GUI.

We have to troubleshoot and recover this issue by running ovm_shell manually.
