ODA VM: VM's Network is not Working With MAC Address 00:00:00:00:00:00 (Doc ID 2527859.1)

Symptoms

Can not access VM XXXXXX by ssh and VM not pingable. Boot VM up successfully and access console by  vncviewer .

Running kernel is uek4 as below:
Linux <HOSTNAME> 4.1.12-61.1.28.el6uek.x86_64 #2 SMP Thu Feb 23 20:03:53 PST 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Command 'ifconfig -a' shows that MAC address of network interface  eth0 on VM XXXXXX is 00:00:00:00:00:00 and   restart service network failed with error 'No suitable device found for connection System eth0'.



[root@XXXXXX network-scripts]# service network restart
Shutting down loopback interface: [ OK ]
Bringing up loopback interface:      [ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth0: Error: No suitable device found: no device found for connection 'System eth0'    
                                                  [FAILED]

Network vif in vm.cfg of VM as below:

vif = [ 'type=ioemu, bridge=net1' ]
