Oracle Linux: Does Linux provide a parameter that limits the thread or block I/O ?
(Doc ID 2534344.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 27, 2021
Applies to:
Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.10 to Oracle Linux 7.6 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [4.14.35] [Release OL6U10 to OL7U6]Linux x86-64
Goal
- Does the Linux kernel provide a parameter that can place constraints on the thread or block I/O when an IO load occurs?
- When IO is generated by multipathd-generated DM, IO is generated differently depending on the number of threads in the process or thread.
so there is want to check whether the process or thread has a limit.
