Oracle Linux : /var/log/messages Log File Growing Abnormally Due to udevadm Entries (Doc ID 2602516.1)

Symptoms

An abnormal growth of /var/log/messages logfile size is detected due to large number of udevadm entries.

Sample logs:

 rsyslogd-2177: imuxsock begins to drop messages from pid 17362 due to rate-limiting
 udevadm[19505]: custom logging function 0x5585d36ea030 registered
 udevadm[19505]: selinux=1
 udevadm[19505]: calling: info
