Symptoms

tunefs.ocfs2 -Q is not working, it should return the value of the variables, but is just returning variable names, as shown below.

 [root@example ~]# tunefs.ocfs2 -Q "%B\n" /dev/sda1
%B

Reproducing the issue in the lab environment:

Ocfs2-tools returns variable name instead of actual value with "ocfs2-tools-1.8.6-13.el7.x86_64" package version installed:
