Oracle Linux : Iscsi Disk Configuration Failing/ Hanging (Doc ID 2692933.1)

Symptoms

ISCSI disk configuration fails/hangs while attempting to configure ISCSI clients. All disk commands are hanging when this issue happens.



Error Message :

[server ~]# iscsiadm -m session
iscsiadm: could not read session targetname: 5
iscsiadm: could not find session info for session1
tcp: [2] x.x.x.x:3260,4 server.hostname (non-flash)
tcp: [3] x.x.x.x:3260,1 server.hostname (non-flash)
tcp: [4] x.x.x.x:3260,2 server.hostname (non-flash)

/var/log/messages :

 iscsid: connection2:0 is operational after recovery (1 attempts)
 iscsid: connection1:0 is operational after recovery (1 attempts)
 iscsid: connection3:0 is operational after recovery (1 attempts)
 iscsid: connection4:0 is operational after recovery (1 attempts)
 iscsid: Kernel reported iSCSI connection 1:0 error (1011 - ISCSI_ERR_CONN_FAILED: iSCSI connection failed) state (3)
 iscsid: Kernel reported iSCSI connection 3:0 error (1011 - ISCSI_ERR_CONN_FAILED: iSCSI connection failed) state (3)
 iscsid: Kernel reported iSCSI connection 4:0 error (1011 - ISCSI_ERR_CONN_FAILED: iSCSI connection failed) state (3)
