Symptoms
Provisioning of aX9-2 based Compute Node stalls at 40% during step 'Initializing_stage_wait_for_ovm'.
The PXE boot and HMP installation steps succeed but when trying to boot the OVS Server, from the ILOM console it hangs at the messages:
BOOT_TIME_EVENT: { "Phase" : "BDS", "Step" : "End", "msg" : "End of BDS phase" }
BOOT_TIME_EVENT: { "Phase" : "BDS", "Step" : "End", "msg" : "Attempt handoff to OS" }
Looking at the host console log (using a ILOM Snapshot), it is flooded with the following type of characters:
