Oracle Linux: Server Crashed with Random Memory Corruption (Doc ID 2922854.1)

Symptoms

 Unexpected system crash with a panic stating "BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request", running kernel in the range of v4.14.35-2047.516.0 thru v4.14.35-2047.517.0. Possible traces but not limited to are:

 

The seen behavior is that the server keeps rebooting due to server panics in lapses that could be from minutes up to several days.

 

 

Changes

Kernel Upgrade on the range of 4.14.35-2047.516.0 to 4.14.35-2047.517.0 (includes 4.14.35-2047.516.2.4). The issue has been seen after Exadata Image updates but is not limited to Exadata environments.
