OLVM: Creating a Disk larger than the size of a Gluster Brick Fails (Doc ID 2967441.1)

Symptoms

In OLVM 4.4.x, in a standard Gluster configuration of 3 replicas (3 hosts), no image can be greater than the size of a single brick.
In a distributed replica, (for example 2x3 = 6 hosts), when creating a Virtual Disk with a size larger than a Gluster Volume Brick the Disk the creation fails, and the disk is kept Locked.

The following can be verified in vdsm.log:
