Goal

This document provides detailed steps on how to point OCNE nodes to local yum mirror repository for offline installation/upgrade.

Steps mentioned in this MOS note are for pointing OL8 OCNE nodes to OL8 local yum mirror repository.

For steps on configuring OL8 local yum mirror repository, refer to the following Note.

Solution
 STEP 1: On all OCNE nodes update repo files to point to OL8 Local Yum Mirror server
 1(a) Backup /etc/yum.repos.d directory
 1(b) Cleanup all the repo files under /etc/yum.repos.d directory
 1(c) Create /etc/yum.repos.d/local.repo file to point to OL8 local yum mirror repository repos
 STEP 2: Verify the Repos on all the OCNE nodes to check if local yum mirror repos are listed correctly
 Additional repo changes needed for new OCNE installations
 STEP 3: Install oracle-olcne-release-el8 on all OCNE nodes Operator, Control and Worker Nodes (Step Applies to New OCNE Installations only)
 STEP 4: Cleanup Additional Repo Files Created pointing to Public Yum on OCNE Nodes (Step Applies to New OCNE Installations only)
 ***** Proceed with rest of OCNE installation steps as needed either via quick install or manual method. ******
