Symptoms

There may be situations where, despite the use of proper mount options (ORA-27054), NFS does not appear to work as expected. The purpose of this article is to help troubleshoot such NFS issues on Linux.

If you take a system call trace e.g. /usr/bin/strace of a failing/hanging process that accesses an NFS file, you may see something similar to the following:
