OracleVM Manager Data Not Sychronised with OracleVM Server and Guests (Doc ID 749357.1)

Last updated on JUNE 08, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle VM - Version 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 [Release OVM211 to OVM212]
Linux x86
Linux x86-64
***Checked for relevance on 20-Aug-2010***
***Checked for relevance on 23-Jan-2012***

Symptoms

The data displayed by the OracleVM Manager interface does not reflect the real and/or current status of the OracleVM servers and the guest operating systems. Typically the OracleVM manager reports a guest os as running while it cannot be reached and while the xm list command on the OracleVM server does not show it as active. Or vice-versa.
