When attempting to add a email address in User Profile, the following error occurs.
ERROR

Warning: The following Email Address has failed validation.
Either the address contains syntax error or the domain name is invalid or could not be verified.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Peopletools > Security > User Profiles
2. Click the Email Address link
3. Add email address.
