What Determines the Effective Date Inserted into Base Benefits while using Life Events/Benefits Administration?
(Doc ID 1072597.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 04, 2025
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Benefits Administration - Version 8.9 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
In the Life Event application (eBenefits), is the effective date on base benefits enrollment determined by the Event Date and is not determined by the actual life event date such as the birth or marriage of the event?
For example, when the actual birth of a child is 2/26/10 but entered into the system on 3/3/10, the effective date inserted into Base Benefits would be 4/1/10 instead of 3/1/10 because of how the rules are set up to be the first of the month after the event.
