E-WL: How To Copy a SSL Certificate/Private Key From an External System to WebLogic
(Doc ID 1087154.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 03, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.44 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
You need to install SSL on your WebLogic server. But instead of creating a new SSL certificate request (CSR), you want to migrate an existing certificate to the WebLogic server. For example, you may already have an existing certificate installed on a reverse proxy server or load balancer, and it is issued to the same host name that you need for your WebLogic server. So rather than create another new certificate, you want to extract the certificate from the other system (eg Apache, IIS, etc) and import it into the WebLogic keystore.
