The Scheduled/Requested Ship and Arrival Dates of a Sales Order Line Are Not Calculated by the 'OM Order Completion/Reprice' process (OM_BACKGRND) when There Is No Default 'Ship Via' (Doc ID 1271348.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Order Management - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When loading an EDI Sales Order (using the SALES_ORDER_LOAD EIP) with a line for which the Requested Ship Date only was provided, the Requested Arrival Date, Scheduled Ship Date, and Schedule Arrival Dates are empty once the Sales Order has been processed by the 'OM Order Completion/Reprice' process (OM_BACKGRND) (navigation: Order Management, Quotes and Orders, Process Orders, Order Completion).

The same issue occurs when providing the Requested Arrival Date only: the Requested Ship Date, Scheduled Ship Date, and Schedule Arrival Dates are empty.

Note that you must run a query against the PS_ORD_LINE table, such as the one below, in order to check if a Date field is empty or not. As a matter fact, when checking online, the system is displaying the current date as default of an empty Date field.
