How to Setup Inputs to a Defined Matrix Using an Outside Source in the Compensation Cycle Build Process (Doc ID 1370316.1)

Last updated on MAY 08, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM eCompensation Manager Desktop - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Qn1:
When defining a matrix, the users have requested that performance rating be an input. When reviewing PeopleBooks, there seems to be no alternative to use another table source outside of ePerformance in accomplishing this. How do we configure the system to use an outside data element (from another table) to pull this information in.

Qn2:
On the Define Matrix, there is a section called Optional Prompting. In that section you can list a Table and Field to use as an optional source. In PeopleBooks it states:

Optional Prompting
If you want the ability to enter search keys from a prompt table, you can use this section to specify the Table and Field, and if appropriate, the SetID.
Note. The system does not enforce that search keys must exist in that table. You are allowed to enter search keys that are new and do not exist in any table.

Is this where we can define an input source from a table? If so there would be no need to modify the WCS_ECMBUILD app engine as suggested.
