Enrollment Web Services replaces the EMPLID in the Request Message with the EMPLID of the Authenticated User (Doc ID 1470087.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Enrollment Web Services like SSR_ENROLLMENT and SCC_SHOPPING_CART are not validating the EMPLID provided in the request message.

'You are not registered for classes in this term' or 'Invalid value - Check and try again' error is seen in the response even when the student is enrolled in classes for the term or the term is valid.

It is expected the web service will use the EMPLID provided in the request.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Use SendMaster or SOAP UI tool to test the SSR_ENROLLMENT or SCC_SHOPPING_CART service
  2. Use any value for the EMPLID in the request other than the EMPLID of the user being authenticated
  3. Notice the response message shows 'You are not registered for classes in this term'.
  4. Also notice that you can use any value for the EMPLID irrespective of whether it is valid or not.
