E-WL: Use of SHA2 SSL Certificate on WebLogic PIA Causes Hangs when Accessing PeopleSoft Application (Doc ID 1490633.1)

Symptoms

After configuring the WebLogic PIA to use a SHA2 certificate, there are issues accessing the PeopleSoft application. Sign in is successful, but hang occurs when invoking any component.
The WebLogic log shows no errors. After awhile even new signon's do not work. You may also see WebLogic using very high CPU and not returning back to normal.

The issue occurs only when using HTTPS protocol with SHA2 certificate. If HTTP protocol is used, everything is fine. Also if HTTPS protocol is used with Demo certificate, everything is fine.
