E-IB: Getting "Integration Gateway - External System Contact Error (158,10721)" when Consuming WSDL from Website that Requires User Credentials (Doc ID 1554152.1)

Goal

On PeopleTools 8.5x Integration Broker, when trying in Consume Web Service Wizard to get the WSDL of a third-party (SAP) web service via WSDL URL, get the below error:

When opening the same WSDL URL in a browser the website requires username and password, and only after supplying valid values returns the WSDL.

Can Consume Web Service Wizard get WSDL via WSDL URL pointing to website that requires credentials with extra setup, or how else to overcome this error?
