Pell Cost of Attendance Not Calculating to the Expected Amount (Doc ID 1561157.1)

Symptoms

When running batch budgets, or the on-line Create Student Budget process, the Pell COA amounts are not being calculated up to the expected values - which would typically be matching the Fed COA amounts. In most cases, the amounts seen are less than what is expected.

This issue does not necessarily affect Pell packaging, but causes the wrong COA to be reported to COD.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > Budgets > Create Student Budget > Create Student Budget.
  2. Add terms.
  3. Click build.
  4. Click move.
  5. Review the results on Financial Aid > Budgets > Maintain Term Budgets > Student Budget Maintenance.
  6. Sum the Pell COA and Pell LTHT amounts on all terms, and/or click the Need Summary link to get the yearly amount. Compare that to the expected value.
