Employer Disability Deductions Are Incorrect For Mid Year Salary Change (Doc ID 1578588.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 31, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The NonTaxable deduction amounts reflect the salary as of Check Date instead of This Year on 1/1 for the premium calculation.

The After Tax deduction correctly uses the This Year on 1/1 Premium configuration.

This is an issue with the following configuration:
  Calculation Rules Table configuration:
Use Benefits Base As Of = This Year On, Month 1, Day 1
Source for Benefit Base = Annual Rate (not ABBR)

  Coverage Formula Table configuration:
  Benefit Base
Premium Base As Of = This Year On, Month 1, Day 1
Coverage Base As Of = Check Date

Source for Benefit Base = Annual Rate (not ABBR)
  Coverage Formula = ((BASE)/12)
  Coverage Max = 11,667

  Plan Attributes/ Disability Table
  Salary Replacement = 70%
Use as Base for Premium Calc = No
