(Doc ID 1904530.1)

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.53 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Applies to PeopleTools 8.53 and higher releases
Sample Environment:
----------------
Tools 8.53.10
Issue:
-------
When using the SFTP Connector an asynchronous service operation, the file is sent successfully to the SFTP server. But when opened, it appears to be encoded /compressed, or just a string of random characters. If the exact same file is sent with a synchronous service operation using the same node/SFTP connector settings, the file is correct and readable on the SFTP server after transfer. Two different SFTP servers were tried, but ended up with the same results.
Thus wondering if asynchronous messaging is supported when using the SFTP connector?
Connector properties set:
BASE64ENCODE = Y
CHARSET = UTF-8
METHOD = PUT
REMOTEFILENAME = TestFile.txt
URL = BATCH_TEST
