When an employee changes a Health benefit election and the Deduction Begin Date is earlier than the Coverage Begin Date of the new record, the employee’s old coverage does not appear on any HIPAA Full File Replacement file created between the two dates – the employee does not appear at all.

STEPS

1. Enter a new Health plan enrollment for an employee with a Coverage Begin Date after the Deduction Begin Date (Navigation: Benefits > Enroll in Benefits > Health Benefits).
2. Refresh Benefit Snapshot (Navigation: Benefits > Interface with Providers > Refresh Benefit Snapshot).
3. Create a HIPAA Full File Replacement file (Navigation: Benefits > Interface with Providers > Create HIPAA 834 EDI File).
