E-PerfMon: Receiving " JOLT_CAT:1043 ERROR tpacall() call failed, tperrno = 6" in Tuxedo Log Files (Doc ID 2110019.1)

Symptoms

When the Performance Monitor is not enabled, TUXLOG.MMDDYY log file is filled up with the bellow error message:          

JOLT_CAT:1043 ERROR tpacall() call failed, tperrno = 6

The error JOLT_CAT:1043 is a generic error generated by Tuxedo run-time when particular tuxedo service is not available on the application server.

In order to identify this service, please follow the bellow steps:

1. Using psadmin option "Configure this domain" - "Add environment variable" TMULOGUSINGSERVICENAME with value Y and save it.

2. Reconfigure the Domain.

3. Boot the Domain.

4. Use psadmin and go to option 5) 'Tuxedo Command Line' for this Domain. At the prompt enter:

> changetrace on
> q

Enabling Tuxedo trace will help you to find the service that is sending the error message:            

JOLT_CAT:1301: "ERROR: tpacall() call for service PpmDataSvc failed, tperrno = 6
