Symptoms

On : 8.54 version, Query

ORA-01799: a column may not be outer-joined to a subquery. Received error after upgrading to PT8.54

Queries with translate values that worked in PeopleTools 8.53 no longer work in 8.54. Queries with translate values now have outer joins to PSXLATITEM and receive an error message when trying to run. Not all Queries with translates will experience the error.

Error in running query because of SQL Error, Code=-1799, Message=ORA-01799: a column may not be outer-joined to a subquery (50, 380)

- PeopleTools full release including minor update: PT 8.54.19
- PeopleSoft Application version, Bundle or PUM image: HCM 9.1 FP2
- Web Server version: Web Logic 12.1.2.0.0
- OS Version: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7
- Database version: Oracle 12.1.0.2
- Windows OS of Users PCs: Windows 7 64bit

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open Query Manager
2. Search for a query that has translate values
3. Run query
