Symptoms

When trying to save a Position Data with new Jobcode with future effective date, the update incumbent process fails.

ERROR

Error Updating Incumbent with Employee ID xx, Employee Record #0, (1000,1358)


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a job code with effective date as future date (1 April 2016).
2. Search for existing position number and insert a new future dated row same as job code. Add the new job code created and save the position data.
3. While saving, the system gives the required message regarding the update incumbent process and the process is also executed.
4. The error message is shown to the user.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot update the incumbent employee's job data from the position data.
