EGL: Combo Edit Web Service Shows Combo Valid Flag As ‘X’ (Invalid combination) When The Project Is Inactive (Doc ID 2166839.1)

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

GL Combo Edit Web Service

When the user passes invalid combination of account and project combination, combo valid flag is shown as ‘X’ (Invalid combination) and no message text is updated with the reason of error.
When the user passes valid combination of account and project combination, but project is inactive, combo valid flag is show as ‘X’ (Invalid combination) and no message text is updated with the reason of error.



EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

It should validate all combo edit errors and display in single message with the reason why the edit is invalid.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Activate the Service Operation “COMBO_CF_EDIT_REQUEST”
(navigation: Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Integration Setup > Service Operations > General Tab)
2) Click Service operation security link: Add PTPT1200 full access thru the
(navigation: Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Integration Setup > Service Operations > General Tab > Service operation security link)
3) Activate the handlers
(navigation: Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Integration Setup > Service Operations > Handlers Tab)
4) Activate the routing:
(navigation: Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Integration Setup > Service Operations > Routing Tab)
5) Click the routing definition and choose the log detail as “Header and Detail”
(note status "Exported WSDL detected. Read Only mode)
6) Generating the WSDL
(navigation: Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Web Services > Provide Web Service )
7) Testing the service
(navigation: Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Service Utilities > Generate SOAP Template )
  a) Enter the xml data in the Soap Request Message box:
  b) The data entered is Account/project ID combo which is an invalid Chartfield combination
  c) Hence the “SOAP Response Message” replies COMBO_VALID_FLG as “X” stating it as invalid chart field combo.
  d) The data entered is Account/project ID combo which is a valid Chartfield combination. The response as below (COMBO_VALID_FLG as “V” stating it as valid chart field combo)
