Symptoms

The customer is testing outbound synchronous messaging to their sandbox system in which the message is to be sent to their 3rd-party system but not able to succeed. Their 3rd-party vendor is using TLS1.1 protocol and enforcing its use, completely disabling the use of the TLS 1.0 encryption protocol from their systems.

The error log is showing an SSL handshake failure:

TLS 1.0 has been disabled in this organization. Please use TLS 1.1 or higher when connecting to 3rd-party vendor .

Environment:

The gateway is running on Weblogic 10.3.6, PeopleTools 8.53.04. The message is triggered from a CRM application running on PTools 8.50.18.

The Java running on CRM is v1.6. Gateway server is running Java v1.7.
