E-DPK Puppet Software Version Conflicts With An Existing Older Version of Ruby, Facter, and Hiera (Doc ID 2168550.1)

Symptoms

When PeopleTools DPK installation is performed on Linux that has a puppet software version which is older than the version of puppet delivered with DPK, the PeopleTools DPK installation process fails.

In this case the Host, with RHEL Satellite 6.1.8 having the following older versions of the Puppet, Ruby, Facter, and Hiera packages, the PeopleTools DPK installation process fails.

Current Redhat versions:
ruby-1.8.7.374-4.el6_6.x86_64
facter-1.7.6-2.el6sat.x86_64
puppet-3.6.2-4.el6_6sat.noarch
hiera-1.0.0-4.el6.noarch

How can the existing Red Hat version packages be used when installing PeopleTools DPK?

- Puppet apply of pt_profile::pt_app_deployment failed
