Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We deployed PeopleTools Patch 8.53.28 and noticed new functionality to add both a Permission list and a role alias.

Three new pages were added:
a setup page to enable this feature (navigation: PeopleTools > Security > Security Objects >Alias Options)
a page to assign an alias role to a role (Navigation PeopleTools > Security > Permission & Roles > Roles)
a page to assign an alias permission list to a permission list (Navigation PeopleTools > Security > Permission & Roles > Permission List).

What are these used for?
