To understand why the performance in a variety of upgrade tasks is very poor.

Environment: Oracle database using RAC.

Examples of poor performance:

--The upgrade job is taking hours to display log contents after log file has been created.

--A move to production test pass takes 16 minutes, when database is in non-RAC format.

A move to production test pass takes 3.5 hours, when database is in RAC format.
