Symptoms

ISSUE#1 :

An employee has an emergency contact where the phone number for that contact is stored on the first tab of the emergency contact component.

When the employee updates the phone number for that emergency contact via Employee Self Service (fluid) > Personal Details > Emergency Contacts, the changes are not saved.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Employee Self Service (fluid) > Personal Details > Emergency Contacts
2. Enter phone type and add phone#.
3. Save the data.
4. Go to Classic>Workforce Administration>Personal Information>Personal Relationships>
Emergency contact>Check data.
5. New phone# is not added.

ISSUE#2:

Emergency Contact entry stores data differently in Classic versus Fluid .

User is encountering issues when entering emergency contact information into the ESS Fluid.

The way that emergency contact information is stored to the EMERGENCY_CNTCT and EMERGENCY_PHONE records differs when comparing the methods of Fluid versus Classic emergency contact entry.

If the initial emergency contact is entered in the classic page, the phone number is stored on EMERGENCY_CNTCT.PHONE but no row is entered in EMERGENCY_PHONE.

If the initial emergency contact is entered into Fluid ESS, then EMERGENCY_CNTCT.PHONE is blank and a row is inserted into EMERGENCY_PHONE – with that record containing the PHONE value.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to Workforce administration>Personal information>Personal Details>Emergency contact in Classic mode
2. Enter emergency contact and phone.
3. Query EMERGENCY_CNTCT.& EMERGENCY_PHONE
4. Go to Fluid ESS>Emergency contact details>
5. Enter emergency contact and phone.
6. Query EMERGENCY_CNTCT.& EMERGENCY_PHONE
7. See the difference in storing values in classic Vs fluid mode.
