ETL9.2:Managers Maiden Name Displayed On Approve Time Screen Instead Of Current Name. (Doc ID 2226298.1)

Main Menu>Manager Self Service>Time Management>Approve time and Exceptions>Payable time.

The "Employees For" grid title, is showing the manager's maiden name and not the primary or preferred name. System user states that the page previously showed her married name. Our HR department staff believe this page should be using Primary or Preferred name. They are concerned about an apparent change in the system at a time they are working on implementing the distribution of W2's via PeopleSoft for the first time.

On checking the manager's records in PS_NAME, I find that there are records with the maiden name that have later effective dates than the names of type PRI and PRF. That seems wrong to me but has not changed for a number of years and so, if the user is correct that the page used to show her married name, something has changed.

Given their concerns around W2 processing, can I ask: is this a fault? Should this screen be showing the PRI or PRF type name, or does it use effective dates?
