Symptoms

Problem statement:
-------------------------------

The following error is present in PIA_weblogic.log and errorLog.html logs:

com.peoplesoft.pt.integrationgateway.common.ExternalSystemContactException: HttpTargetConnector:ExternalSystemContactException.The host couldn't be resolved. Please check your URL.

java.net.UnknownHostException: hostname of machine

Environment:
--------------------

- PeopleTools 8.55.10 (implemented Tools Patch on 11 Feb 2017)
- PeopleSoft HR 9.1 Bundle #16
- Weblogic 12.1.3 with patch 23094292 applied


Steps:
---------
Setup Integration Broker

Error:
--------
HttpTargetConnector:ExternalSystemContactException.The host couldn't be resolved. Please check your URL.
java.net.UnknownHostException: hostname of machine

Business Impact:

The customer cannot complete Integration Broker setup
