E-PIA: CORS Violation Error When Setting Up Portal Interaction Hub Behind A Proxy Server

Symptoms
Using PT 8.55.06 Customer is attempting to setup Web Profiles however errors occur when attempting to access Portal Interaction Hub from a local address when the Web Server is booted in PROD web profile per Configuration.properties (WebProfile=PROD).
"This site can't be reached"
"Environment.Variable.Local refused to connect" (*)
"Try: Checking the connection, Checking the proxy and the firewall ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"
This error occurs in the Google Chrome Browser and in order to login again the Customer has to update the PSWEBPROFNVP using SQL Developer and remove the settings.
When attempting access from an external URL entered in "Authorized Sites" for the Profile Google Chrome Browser produces an error:
"CORS Violation Error!"

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, web servers cannot use the CORS standard to be given cross-domain access controls to enable secure cross-domain data transfers.
