E-COB: Custom COBOL Programs Not Being Picked Up or Executed From PS_CUST_APP_HOME (Doc ID 2376767.1)

Last updated on JULY 31, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.56 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer has several customized Cobols and a decoupled installation. When a delivered parent cobol (which is in PS_APP_HOME) calls a customized child cobol (which is in PS_CUST_APP_HOME) the process scheduler runs the delivered child (from PS_APP_HOME) and not the customized (from PS_CUST_APP_HOME).

PeopleTools 8.56
Windows 2012

In this particular case, there are two programs: SRPCWAIT which calls SRPCWLPR.
SRPCWAIT is delivered.
SRPCWLPR is customized.

So SRPCWAIT is in PS_APP_HOME while SRPCWLPR is in PS_CUST_APP_HOME.
When executing the SRPCWAIT, the SRPCWLPR is PS_APP_HOME is being executed and not the one in PS_CUST_APP_HOME.

As a side note, SRPCWAIT is copied into PS_CUST_APP_HOME and compiled it. Then reran and the same thing happened.
