Symptoms

Some GL journals are posting to an adjustment accounting period [e.g. Period 998] in the KK_ACTIVITY_LOG and LEDGER_KK.  For each such journal there are three rows with the same KK_TRAN_ID with two different fiscal year and accounting periods instead of having unique fiscal year & accounting period combination for each KK_TRAN_ID.

Replication Steps:

[A] GL journal is entered as an adjusting entry to a Fiscal year and adjustment period. Upon budget checking LEDGER KK and KK ACTIVITY LOG get the below -

Exp Period 998, FY 2018 $100

If the GL journal is now changed to non-adjusting entry with an accounting period[e.g. 03] and upon budget checking again, LEDGER KK and KK ACTIVITY LOG get the below -

Exp Period 998, FY 2018 $100
Exp Period 03, FY 2018 <100>
Exp Period 03, FY 2018 +100

[B] GL journal is entered as a non-adjusting entry to a Fiscal year and regular accounting period [e.g. 03]. Upon budget checking, LEDGER KK and KK ACTIVITY LOG get the below -

Exp Period 03, FY 2018 $100

If the GL journal is now changed to adjusting entry with adjustment period 998 and upon budget checking again, LEDGER KK and KK ACTIVITY LOG get the below -

Exp Period 03, FY 2018 $100
Exp Period 998, FY 2018 <100>
Exp Period 998, FY 2018 +100
