E-PUM: Windows NativeOS installation failed with Invalid Puppet version error

On : 8.55 version, Updates and Fixes
When attempting to run DPK, the following error occurs.
ERROR

In the command prompt, following error message was shown.

Invalid Puppet version or left-over directory and registry key exist. Please refer the log for details
Exiting the PeopleSoft environment setup process

In psft_dpk_setup.log, following error were logged.
----
psftutils.py DEBUG : Current directory [D:\PUM_25\setup\scripts]
psftutils.py DEBUG : Execution of command returned StdOut

psftutils.py DEBUG : Leaving execute_command
psft_windows_environment.py DEBUG : Please deinstall the older version of Puppet
psft_windows_environment.py DEBUG : Also, remove the Puppet registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Puppet Labs

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run the command psft-dpk-setup.bat -cleanup to do manual cleanup on Windows NativeOS installation
2. Run the command psft-dpk-setup.bat
3. The installation process stopped
