SAA_ADB_RESULTS.SAA_UNITS_USED and SAA_CRSES_USED are Incorrectly Derived. (Doc ID 2439296.1)

Last updated on MAY 03, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Academic Advisement - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.2 version, Academic Advisement

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When a requirement is set to investigate all combinations and a student has
to complete one of several partitions, the value derived for the
SAA_UNITS_USED and SAA_CRSES_USED is not a sum of the units used to satisfy
the individual requirements lines. These values are correct at the
requirement group level but at the requirement level, if multiple courses are
used to satisfy the partition, sometimes only one course is used to calculate
the units and courses used.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect SAA_UNITS_USED and SAA_CRSES_USED to equal the sum of the units used to satisfy
the individual requirements lines

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Academic Advisement > Student Advisement > Request Advisement Report
2. Process the report.
3. Query SAA_ADB_RESULTS for the requirement in question.
