"One Phone number must be checked as Preferred. (18180,101)" Error Occurs While Changing Preferred Phone Number during HR TO CS Integration (Doc ID 2471992.1)

Symptoms

Below message appears in PERSON_BASIC_SYNC  XML while changing the preferred phone number in HR environment.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
In HR env-
1. Login as employee and go to Self Service ->Personal Information->Phone Numbers and checked 3 phone number exists for the employee.
2. Try to delete the preferred phone number, received an error message.Click ok. Now change another phone to preferred phone. Do not click on Save.
3. Delete the the preferred phone no and save now.
4.Go to Peopletools->Integration Broker->Service Operation Monitor->Monitoring->Asynchronous services.Check for  PERSON_BASIC_SYNC.Reviewed all in done status.
IN CS env-
1.Go to Peopletools->Integration Broker->Service Operation Monitor->Monitoring->Asynchronous services.Check for  PERSON_BASIC_SYNC.Found 1st transaction ID is in New status and 2nd in Error.
