E-PUM: NativeOS Deployment Fails on Validating PeopleSoft Supported Platform with Error "must be str, not NoneType" (Doc ID 2502197.1)

Deploying a PUM Image or a PT DPK Patch on Native OS Windows fails with the following error when running on the command line:

Validating PeopleSoft Supported Platform

must be str, not NoneType

Similar error message:

TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'NoneType' and 'str'

unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'NoneType' and 'str'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Download the PUM Image or PT DPK files from My Oracle Support.

2. Extract the first zip file.

3. Run the dpk setup script to deploy the image or patch:

psft-dpk-setup.bat <setup options>
