Group Build Does Not Fetch Employees after EMPL_CLASS Field Is Added to the Group Definition Criteria (Doc ID 2516919.1)

Last updated on JULY 21, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Group Build Definition page is being used to write up the SQL queries to fetch the employees using the below fields:
JOB.EFFDT
JOB.HR_STATUS
JOB.EMPL_RCD
JOB.BUSINESS_UNIT
JOB.EMPL_CLASS

Employees are fetched when the first four fields are used. But, when the last field: EMPL_CLASS, is added a count of 0 is returned.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Set Up HCM > Common Definitions > Group Build > Group Build -Group Definition
2. Create new group using the above fields
3. After saving group, click the count icon and note employees are not fetched
