Absence Request Transactions Are Missing on the Pending Approvals Page

Symptoms
Managers are able to navigate to the Pending Approvals page, but only the payable time transactions are displayed and absence requests are not listed.
It is expected for all pending transactions to be listed in Pending Approvals.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Direct reports submits absence request
2. As manager, navigate to Manager Self Service homepage, Approvals tile
3. Note Absence Request transaction is missing.
