Event Class Chaof SWB Changes To MSC when Events Are Reprocessed (Doc ID 2562276.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 23, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Benefits Administration - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When two Event Classes (SWB Short Work Break and RWB Return from Work Break) are initially triggered and added to BAS Activity, the correct Event Class SWB or RWB is assigned. Once Ben Admin processes the event to Prepared or Finalized - Prep None, the event class remains SWB or RWB. If the event is reprocessed, however, (Process Indicator reset to "assign program") the Event Class changes to MSC. It does not happen for every employee - it appears to be very random.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add a Job record for Short Work Break (Navigation: Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data).
2. In On-Demand Maintenance, prepare and schedule the SWB Event (Navigation: Benefits > Manage Automated Enrollment > Events > On-Demand Event Maintenance).
3. Reprocess the Event to Assign Benefit Program (Navigation: Benefits > Manage Automated Enrollment > Events > On-Demand Event Maintenance).
